Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Poster Revealed

Today at Disney's D23 Expo, the poster for the upcoming Star Wars film was released. You can see said poster below:


Obviously the major thing here is the fact that Finn (John Boyega) is wielding Luke Skywalker's blue lightsaber that was given to him by Obi-Wan and originally belonged to Anakin. We knew Luke's lightsaber would come into play as we saw it changed hands in the latest teaser trailer and it's interesting that Finn's last name still hasn't been revealed. Does this mean the lightsaber is being kept in the family? Or is Finn simply borrowing it? Or did Finn just happen to come into possession and have no idea of it's significance. Either way, I'm stoked.

What with all the talk about the Oscar nominations getting announced today, one particular nomination has been overlooked. Namely the fact that even though the ENTIRE soundtrack was overlooked by the Golden Globes the Oscars at least did right by the best bunch of original songs this year and nominated Man or Muppet as on of the contenders for Best Original Song. Day 5 of Halloween - The Fly (1958)

Jason:  First of all, I hope that everyone watched the right iteration of this film. The one with Vincent Price, not Jeff Goldblum.  Now that we’ve gotten that straight… This movie is considered to be a Halloween cult classic. It doesn’t have a whole lot in the way of scares or terror but it still remains a seasonal favorite. For the time, the make-up effects were decent. The way Andre’s fly head twitches and vibrates makes it look pretty convincing for a 1950’s puppet mask. The story, however, is what is so captivating. I have been reading a lot of Lovecraft stories lately and I couldn’t help but draw a comparison between them and this movie. The plot is very Lovecraftian. Let me explain: The main character is a highly intellectual recluse who spends most of his time in research. He stumbles across some natural secret that ultimately leads to his destruction.
