We finally made it, the top 5 Muse songs ever according to me (with other's thoughts in mind...sort of). Their new album Drones has been released in most of the world by now and, from the sound of it, I may be revisiting this least at some point in the future to add in a few of the new songs (actually one of their new songs just might top the list as my favorite). Day 5 of Halloween - The Fly (1958)

Jason:  First of all, I hope that everyone watched the right iteration of this film. The one with Vincent Price, not Jeff Goldblum.  Now that we’ve gotten that straight… This movie is considered to be a Halloween cult classic. It doesn’t have a whole lot in the way of scares or terror but it still remains a seasonal favorite. For the time, the make-up effects were decent. The way Andre’s fly head twitches and vibrates makes it look pretty convincing for a 1950’s puppet mask. The story, however, is what is so captivating. I have been reading a lot of Lovecraft stories lately and I couldn’t help but draw a comparison between them and this movie. The plot is very Lovecraftian. Let me explain: The main character is a highly intellectual recluse who spends most of his time in research. He stumbles across some natural secret that ultimately leads to his destruction. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Oh yeah, I'm gonna sit around and talk about ponies now. Brace yourself. I assume that most of the internet has seen something from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic by now. At the very least, this awesome chart has been circulating around a lot. Now, I didn't immediately buy into the hype. Don't get me wrong, I'm as girly as girly comes. But my taste in TV isn't always so full of sugar and rainbows. I watched the original MLP cartoon as when I was little, rented on VHS mostly. The only value I really saw in it was the fact that the protagonists' name was Megan and that she was friends with ponies. And ponies, to any little girl, are so awesome. So when a new series came out, I was a little suspicious. Cartoons since the golden age of the 90s (as us kids who grew up in the 90s remember them) have not been all that great, certain amazing exceptions aside.
