Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a van...And 23 DVDs
As a franchise, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is one that has reached a level that few can ever hope to obtain. From movies, to video games, to action figures, to, of course, TV shows, the turtles are everywhere.
And for many, the biggest part of that franchise was the Turtles cartoon from the late 80s and early 90s. Which is why it's so mind boggling that these have been the most difficult incarnations to get of the turtles for some time now.
James Rolfe, (The Angry Video Game Nerd of Cinnemassacre) released a video some time back that explains the tragedy of the Ninja Turtles DVD releases better than I ever possibly could. So, rather than try, here is the video in full.
It should be noted that since that video, seasons nine and ten have been released, but beyond that, there is something that, theoretically at least, is even better.
Scheduled for release on November 13th of this year (just in time for holiday shopping) the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Complete Classic Series Collection 23-Disc DVD Set will finally have all the episodes complete in one boxed set.
At least, that's the hope. With the boxed set not yet released, we don't yet know if this is the exact set that we've been waiting for, but just the fact that it will soon exist has to be a step in the right direction. So here's hoping that in just a few short month, we we all be able to own, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in its entirety, in the correct viewing order.
