Ten Most Anticipated Movies of 2018

Image
10. Pacific Rim Uprising Pacific Rim is on may people’s top ten list of 2013 movies, and deservedly so. A big budget, sci-fi action, monster movie based on a completely original idea, it felt like a miracle that Pacific Rim was made at all, not to mention how good it turned out. Unfortunately despite glowing reviews, Pacific Rim woefully under performed at the Box Office losing to Grown Ups 2 in its first weekend. It’s thanks to the movies success in other markets, most notably China, that we’re getting this sequel, but after watching the box office return of the first movie, the fact that we’re getting a sequel seems like just as much of a miracle as the first movie existing at all. With Kong: Skull Island out last year and a Godzilla sequel coming out next year, monster movies are coming back in a big way and it’s good to see some good original ideas getting made alongside the nostalgia acts. 9. Paddington 2 Already released in the UK back in November, Paddington 2 is one of the...

New Spider-Man Has Been Cast PLUS New Director Announced

Image
You see that face over there to the right of this text? That young man, ladies and gentlemen, is named Tom Holland and will be your new Spider-Man as announced by  Marvel . Of course, we knew the news of the casting would be coming soon as the cast of Captain American: Civil War continues to take shape as they gear for a 2016 release. However, Marvel has yet to announce that Holland will be playing Spider-Man in that movie yet, we're all just making that assumption. What is known for sure is that the next Spider-Man movie, paid for by Sony and co-produced by Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, will star Holland, will be released on July 28th, 2017 and (as announced today) will be directed by Jon Watts. Neither Watts nor Holland have a whole lot to list on their respective IMDb page but maybe that's a good thing, right? Taking the reigns of a much-loved yet much-criticized entity such as Spider-Man comes with a truck-load of pressure and expectations on it's ow...

Leaked Post Avenger Credits Clip

Image
Ok, it only seems fair to say right up front that this is fake. It's been stated that this is a fake. I personally believe that it's a fake (If it were real, there would be quite a lot of audience noise the moment that a certain something was revealed, even if it was a room full of snobby movie critics. That ending is just something you react to.) Normally I wouldn't report on fake, already debunked news, but this one is actually put together really well, and pretty enjoyable. If you don't want to watch on the very very very, off chance that this is the ending to Avengers (or maybe even to Ant-Man later this summer) I can't say I blame you though.

Marvel's Spider-Man: What We Know So Far

Image
Several weeks ago, it was announced that after much deliberation and lots of negotiation, a deal has finally been reached that will allow the character of Spider-man to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then rumors have been running wild with what the third incarnation of Spider-man in less than ten years was going to be like. Who would be playing him? How soon would he appear? How will Spider-Man factor into the already packed schedule that Marvel has lined up between now and 2020? While we don't know a lot of those answers yet, here's a quick look at the things we do have answers for sure about. No Andrew Garfield : It was stated pretty clearly early on, that this was not going to be the same Spider-Man from the past two Amazing Spider-Man films and thus Andrew Garfield would not be playing him again. While Andrew Garfield was one of the brightest spots in an otherwise problematic film series, it makes sense that Marvel would want no connection between their ...

Amazing Spider-man Gets a trailer

Image
Its been a slew of trailer updates here, as of late, but with summer movies, comes summer trailers, with the new Spider-man movie being the latest. Amazing Spider-man was a movie I was prepared to hate. I felt that I already had my Spider-man movies, and this new "reboot" was just a low down cash grab to keep the rights to the series. But then Marc Webb was announced as the director, and with each and every casting decision sounding like a good one, I couldn't help but get a little excited about the movie. But now we have a trailer to see our first real glimpse of the movie's footage. Check out thoughts below the trailer. Now, I don't know about your Spider-man, but the Spider-man that I had growing up was funny. Constantly cracking jokes at the expense of his villains, Spidey was always a much lighter read than some of the other comic book heroes. So why does the theme of this movie feel so dark? The trailer starts out with a reminder that Peter...
