Classy Ring Attire 348 - Next to Last Time Ever (So Far)

By the arbitrary rules established in the previous episodes, Super Show-Down was technically a PPV, so we give it the somewhat traditional post show rundown , notably Triple H and Undertaker fighting for the last time ever ever, please ignore the fighting they're doing next month.

Coming to Theaters: March 2017

March 3rd Logan : Hugh Jackman’s final performance as Wolverine is here. Encouraged by the success of Deadpool last year, 20th Century Fox is allowing this to be a rated R superhero movie, which means we might get some of the more violent bits of the Wolverine story that have been absent from the PG-13 X-Men movies up until this point. The trailers at the very least, have given the movie quite a different feel that earlier Wolverine movies. Slower and more grounded, the trailers make this movie look more like a tone poem than an action flick. Thought I’m sure there will still be plenty of action here. The movie’s going to be rated R for a reason. March 10th Kong: Skull Island : This more you think about this movie the stranger it is that it even exists. It’s a King Kong movie, but not a remake of the classic story, but one that instead focuses entirely on the time on the island. But it’s also set in the same universe as the 2014 Godzilla so that we can have a King Kong vs. Go...

The Classy Ring Attire Podcast #228: "Roman Tests Positive for Tater Tots"

With Money in the Bank in our rear view mirror, we now look at the aftermath of Dean Ambrose cashing in and we wonder would it have even happened if Roman Reigns hadn't gotten himself suspended. Also, is there such a thing as too much wrestling? Joel explores this ideas as we might be finding out in a couple of months.

Please don't be CM Punk's last night on Raw

We've been keeping up with it for the past couple of weeks so we really should see this out through the end. In what may end up being his last night ever on Monday Night Raw, Punk delivered not one but two great promos to both open and close the show. You can find the both of them below so that you too can understand why WWE needs to keep this man employed. 1st video: CM Punk opening the show with a promo and the aid of a megaphone. Videos 2 and 3: Punk and Vince McMahon have a live contract negotiation in the ring, to end the show.

CM Punk on Raw Update

For those keeping up with the CM Punk storyline right now, Punk was suspended after his amazing promo (monologue) at the end of the show last week. This week continued the drama with Cena demanding an explanation from the Chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon. A lot of the minor stories were also touched on throughout the night, but for those who really just care about the Punk story, here is the final segment of last night's show where McMahon came out to address the audience.

In Case you Didn't Know...

CM Punk is the greatest thing happening in wrestling right now. This past Monday, Punk ended the show with a speech that has caused everyone to sit up and take notice. Nothing I say here could in any way improve what Punk said, so presented here, without further comment, is the video from the end of Monday night's episode of Raw. At least until Punk's mic was cut off. Do yourself a favor and watch it.

The Rager - Raw Thoughts 2/14/11

Welcome back, my sticky Ragers, to everyone's favorites somewhat weekly random thoughts of Monday Night Raw: VD edition. This edition of Raw has a major surprise, as referred to in the last Rager entry, but more on that later. Lets roll: 1. The opening shindig between John Cena and CM Punk was alright, the Nexus interference by supplying the wrench felt a little campy (ooo a mysterious arm with Nexus band extends from under the ring slowly with a wrench). I'm ready to see these two fight without outside interference, its long overdue and I'm hoping we get that soon after the feud between Punk and Orton is done (which I almost forgot completely about because Punk has been facing Cena so much). 2. They're still continuing Smackdown stories on Raw now? Really? I mean, I get that they're trying to convince people to watch a non-sci-fi show on a channel thats dedicated to the genre, especially the big 600th episode thats so big that it'll feature Raw superstars bec...

The Rager - Raw Thoughts 1/24/11

Welcome to everybody's favorite weekly...erm....semi-weekly....ugh...very weakly random thoughts of WWE's Monday Night RAW. 1. I think its interesting that they chose to start off Raw with a Smackdown wrestler. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Edge seems less legit on Raw, it just doesn't fit. 2. Was it just me or did anybody else sense any sexual tension between Edge and the GM laptop? There was just the awkward moment when the email went off and Edge had his "crazy eyes." Which reminds me, I miss the automated voice for the laptop but I understand Michael Cole would lose a lot of his heat if he's not the "voice" of the GM. 3. Speaking of awkward moments, it was weird to see the Nexus face off against the newly formed Corre. The Corre seems to be trying to become the face version of the Nexus and something about it annoys me, they don't really have a reason to exist other than the fact that they're Nexus rejects. And I c...

The Rager - Raw Thoughts 1/10/11

Welcome to the return of everybody's review of the longest episodic blah blah blah blah, Monday Night Raw. My apologies for not posted for the previous couple Raws but...ok, I have no excuse, just sheer laziness, it happens. But anyways, I'm back and the lights are on bright and everyone is excited about the return of John Cena! Lets get started: 1. Thanks to CM Punk, Nexus is now a cult, its like everything awesome about the Nexus is now joined with everything that was creepy about Punk's Straight Edge Society. Everything from McGillicutty ceremoniously being carried away after taking a beating, the awkward lashing of Husky Harris and then the "ultimate sacrifice" by CM Punk which went way too far for me and it made no sense to me why WWE wrote such a thing in a story. For a company thats hypersensitive about staying clear of their own screw-ups (i.e. the erasing of Chris Benoit from WWE history), it seems really irresponsible for them to pull this in light of...

The Rager WWE Review - Raw Thoughts

Image
Here's my Raw Thoughts (you get it? the show's called Raw? Raw Thoughts? Anyone? Anyone?) 1. I can't tell you all how hard I laughed at the opening Christmas Carol demonstration with The Miz. Also let me point out that its great that Miz and John Morrison is taking the spotlight and them getting a chance. Also, it frees up all the huge names for the Royal Rumble match, best move the WWE has made since the release of Matt Hardy or letting JBL quit....or letting Batista quit...have I mentioned how much I like the current WWE roster? Also, Merry Christmas 2. I would really enjoy Ric Flair-like storyline where Daniel Bryan respectfully retires William Regal because we all know its going to happen in the near future and the two obviously think a lot of each other...plus the WWE is pretty sure Regal isn't going to bail and show up on TNA. 3. Can we "take care" of the Bella twins? 4. I'm not sure if the segment with Cena and Vickie Guerrero was planned that way b...
