A Good Day To Die...Hard

A slew of information just came out about the next (which would be the 5th) Die Hard movie. Among the tidbits of information we got A shooting start date (January 2012) a release date (Valentine's Day 2013) and a plot synopsis that included the idea that much of the film would be set in Russia and the threat that McClane faces would be a worldwide one. But a big bit of info that was released included the title of the upcoming movie... A Good Day To Die Hard.

Sure it's a bit silly sounding. But I'm gonna stand up for it. After all, How great of a title was Live Free or Die Hard? In fact we can go all the way back to Die Hard 2 which was subtitled Die Harder. Sure these titles might sound a bit strange. But the Die Hard series is not a dramatic or realistic portrayal of the events of the movies. These movies are high action fun. And they themsleves are a bit silly at times. So, A Good Day To Die Hard. Works for me. I just wish I could see the list of other "Die" or "Hard" phrases that were batted around before this was settled on. Goonies Never Say Die Hard? Or It's a Die Hard Knock Life? The possibilities are endless.

One thing not mentioned is if the movie would be aiming for a PG-13 or R rating. My guess is that they will stick with the family friendly rating to try and get the big numbers, but I'm still gonna hold out home that we get a good ole' R Rated Die Hard movie again. Watch the unrated version of Die Hard 4, see how much a few extra swear words really make the movie feel like a Die Hard movie.

Jason:  First of all, I hope that everyone watched the right iteration of this film. The one with Vincent Price, not Jeff Goldblum.  Now that we’ve gotten that straight… This movie is considered to be a Halloween cult classic. Muppets for Best Song!

What with all the talk about the Oscar nominations getting announced today, one particular nomination has been overlooked. Namely the fact that even though the ENTIRE soundtrack was overlooked by the Golden Globes the Oscars at least did right by the best bunch of original songs this year and nominated Man or Muppet as on of the contenders for Best Original Song. Sure my pick would have been for Life's a Happy Song, but that's not what's important. What is important is that The Muppets got an Oscar Nomination! YAAAAAAAAAY

Top 30 Muse Songs (15 - 11)

We're mere days away from Muse's new album Drones being released and it's time to see which of their songs cracked the top half of our list. If you missed the previous installments or need a refresher:  26-30 ,  21-25 ,  16-20 15. Undisclosed Desires I remember when they first released this song, it had a lot of fans scratching their collective heads because it felt like a vast departure from what we were used to with Muse.
