Hello layout!

At long, long last there is a layout up! It's looking pretty spiffy, if I do say so myself. It combines a wide range of our collective interests, so if you see something in the header you like, stick around to read some posts.

I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Megan, and I'll probably be blogging about fashion, crafting, cosplay, anime, and other nerdy things when I feel the drive to do so. I'll also be doing a lot of graphic stuff and general layout upkeep around here. If anything looks crazy or doesn't quite work, just let me know!

Jason:  First of all, I hope that everyone watched the right iteration of this film. The one with Vincent Price, not Jeff Goldblum.  Now that we’ve gotten that straight… This movie is considered to be a Halloween cult classic. It doesn’t have a whole lot in the way of scares or terror but it still remains a seasonal favorite. For the time, the make-up effects were decent. The way Andre’s fly head twitches and vibrates makes it look pretty convincing for a 1950’s puppet mask. The story, however, is what is so captivating. I have been reading a lot of Lovecraft stories lately and I couldn’t help but draw a comparison between them and this movie. The plot is very Lovecraftian. Muppets for Best Song!

What with all the talk about the Oscar nominations getting announced today, one particular nomination has been overlooked. Namely the fact that even though the ENTIRE soundtrack was overlooked by the Golden Globes the Oscars at least did right by the best bunch of original songs this year and nominated Man or Muppet as on of the contenders for Best Original Song. Sure my pick would have been for Life's a Happy Song, but that's not what's important. What is important is that The Muppets got an Oscar Nomination! YAAAAAAAAAY

Top 30 Muse Songs (15 - 11)

We're mere days away from Muse's new album Drones being released and it's time to see which of their songs cracked the top half of our list. If you missed the previous installments or need a refresher:  26-30 ,  21-25 ,  16-20 15. Undisclosed Desires I remember when they first released this song, it had a lot of fans scratching their collective heads because it felt like a vast departure from what we were used to with Muse. In time, we embraced the song because it's Muse and we appreciate the risk. The song ultimately seemed to lay the ground work for Madness on the next album. 14. Citizen Erased It's been a fan favorite for a long time and, according to the band, they're apparently not done with the idea.
