Serial Gets Two More Seasons

If you know much of anything about podcasts, then you probably know about the podcast Serial. The first truly mega hit in the realm of podcasts, Serial did a lot to introduce the format to many people. For the few that don't know, Serial was a spinoff (of sorts) of This American Life which detailed over the course of twelve episodes the case of a 1999 murder of Hae Min Le, a high school student in Maryland. The story also covered the trial and conviction of Adnan Sye, who was her former boyfriend who still maintains his innocence of the crime, and over the twelve episodes, we delve into every possible bit of evidence to see if it can be proven once and for all if Adnan is guilty or innocent. To say that the podcast was a hit would be an understatement. It was downloaded over five million times, the show won a Peabody award the first podcast ever to do so, and there was even an SNL sketch spoofing the series.
