Irrelevant But Awesome

This past December there was a lot of inside information that was revealed because of the Sony hack. Obviously the biggest thing to come out of it was that at one point there was talk of Spider-man returning to Marvel and being a part of the MCU. And it's very possible that this information getting leaked to the public may have played a big part in the deal actually finalizing and going through. But the whole Spider-man aspect of everything was such a big deal that it ended up burying other stories that were also revealed, but nobody had much time to talk about them because everyone was to busy focused on Spider-Man. It turns out that one of the more wild ideas that cropped up in the leak is actually being given serious consideration. Sony is apparently developing a crossover of the 21 Jump Street Franchise and the Men In Black franchise. Now before you roll your eyes at that remember that Jump Street creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller are the kings at taking terrible idea...

The original Men In Black movie is one of my personal favorites. It may not be a piece of cinematic art but it blends a perfect amount of action, sci-fi, comedy, entertainment, and just straight up fun all into one movie. In fact since 1997 it's been one of the pillars I've judged other potential summer blockbusters by (or rather since 1998 when I first watched it on VHS) The second Men In Black movie was so much bad as it was forgettable. Yes, I know that there is a second movie but all I can really tell you is that the bad guy was some kind of plant alien and that Michael Jackson was in it for half a second. But a forgettable movie turns into a big disappointment when it's following something like Men In Black. So now, ten years later were getting another chance to have a sequel that captures the charm of the original. And our first look at that movie (due out next year) is below.
