Greatest Crossover of All Time is Actually Happening

This past December there was a lot of inside information that was revealed because of the Sony hack. Obviously the biggest thing to come out of it was that at one point there was talk of Spider-man returning to Marvel and being a part of the MCU. And it's very possible that this information getting leaked to the public may have played a big part in the deal actually finalizing and going through. But the whole Spider-man aspect of everything was such a big deal that it ended up burying other stories that were also revealed, but nobody had much time to talk about them because everyone was to busy focused on Spider-Man.

It turns out that one of the more wild ideas that cropped up in the leak is actually being given serious consideration. Sony is apparently developing a crossover of the 21 Jump Street Franchise and the Men In Black franchise.

Now before you roll your eyes at that remember that Jump Street creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller are the kings at taking terrible ideas and making good movies out of them. Both Jump Street movies are good examples of that, as is The Lego Movie which the duo also made. The Men In Black franchise never seemed to reach the full potential that the movie had after the first one, with two somewhat lackluster sequels in the years since. But Sony would clearly love to do something with that property that still has name recognition and good will from the first movie. (Because the first Men In Black movie was really that good.) Perhaps getting the Jump Street characters and invincibility in the MIB universe is a fantastic way to kick start the series into high gear. Plus I desperately want to see the two guys from 21 Jump Street get their hands on those memory flash things from MIB.
