Hooooly crap! I just finished watching the last episode of Clone Wars and, canonically, Darth Maul is still alive! I have nooooo idea how. But I cannot tell you how freaking excited I am about this! I am even more excited about this than I was about the possibility of Ahsoka turning bad. Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! I just need them to get to this storyline within this season! I wanna see me some Maul action!
We got to see Savage be a badass and we got to see Dooku really show off his saber skills but nothing tops that last image of Maul's face in Mother Talzin's seeing orb. hoo! It gave me chills!

In unrealted news, I watched a movie last night that I think you nerds would appreciate. It's called Ink. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1071804/ It was released in '09. It's about dreams and the battle between those that make good dreams, the Storytellers, and nightmares, the Incubi. It is pretty low budget and the editing is super fast paced. Would make it a little stressful to watch if you have motion sickness problems. But other than that, It has humor and action and just general fun. It's streaming on Netflix if you feel so inclined to watch it. I highly suggest it.

What with all the talk about the Oscar nominations getting announced today, one particular nomination has been overlooked. Namely the fact that even though the ENTIRE soundtrack was overlooked by the Golden Globes the Oscars at least did right by the best bunch of original songs this year and nominated Man or Muppet as on of the contenders for Best Original Song. Day 5 of Halloween - The Fly (1958)

Jason:  First of all, I hope that everyone watched the right iteration of this film. The one with Vincent Price, not Jeff Goldblum.  Now that we’ve gotten that straight… This movie is considered to be a Halloween cult classic. It doesn’t have a whole lot in the way of scares or terror but it still remains a seasonal favorite. For the time, the make-up effects were decent. The way Andre’s fly head twitches and vibrates makes it look pretty convincing for a 1950’s puppet mask. The story, however, is what is so captivating. I have been reading a lot of Lovecraft stories lately and I couldn’t help but draw a comparison between them and this movie. The plot is very Lovecraftian. Let me explain: The main character is a highly intellectual recluse who spends most of his time in research. He stumbles across some natural secret that ultimately leads to his destruction. You're the Worst 5.13: "Pancakes"

Chris:  First of all, playing “No Children” by The Mountain Goats was the perfect ending I didn’t know the show needed. You’re the Worst ended with in a more happy, optimistic way than I think anyone predicted but I think it was done so in a way that was appropriate to how the show had felt previous to Pancakes. Edgar is the best of the worst, I’ve decided. Yes, trying to convince the groom to not go through with the wedding so close to the ceremony is a very bad thing to do but it forced Edgar and Gretchen to not only really think about what they actually wanted but to do so by directly addressing it with each other for once. In the end, Jimmy and Gretchen stay together but don’t get married and, honestly, it makes way more sense this way. The one thought I’ve had creeping in the back of my head since the moment Jimmy proposed was how out of character it felt for either of them to want to get married with all of their commitment issues.
