IBA Presents "Taker Taken!" A Short Film by C.W. Sanders

If you've been following our twitter account lately (@IBAStudios), you know that we at Irrelevant But Awesome have been hard at work putting together our first ever short film called Taker Taken! This all came from a series of small videos I had made for my fantasy football league and every year, my ideas for the videos would become more elaborate (If you would like to watch those previous videos as well as further explanation from me, click here).

And then we get to present day where I wanted to involve as many people in my fantasy football league as possible and the idea grew into a short film. So the premise is simple, What happens when a beloved fantasy football trophy has gone missing? Accuse everyone, apparently.

Click on the video below and enjoy. All that I ask is that if you had a good time watching it and found at least one thing that made you laugh, share it with your friends because we have big plans for future projects and we'd love it if you and yours were on-board in one way or another.

What with all the talk about the Oscar nominations getting announced today, one particular nomination has been overlooked. Namely the fact that even though the ENTIRE soundtrack was overlooked by the Golden Globes the Oscars at least did right by the best bunch of original songs this year and nominated Man or Muppet as on of the contenders for Best Original Song. Day 5 of Halloween - The Fly (1958)

Jason:  First of all, I hope that everyone watched the right iteration of this film. The one with Vincent Price, not Jeff Goldblum.  Now that we’ve gotten that straight… This movie is considered to be a Halloween cult classic. It doesn’t have a whole lot in the way of scares or terror but it still remains a seasonal favorite. For the time, the make-up effects were decent. The way Andre’s fly head twitches and vibrates makes it look pretty convincing for a 1950’s puppet mask. The story, however, is what is so captivating. I have been reading a lot of Lovecraft stories lately and I couldn’t help but draw a comparison between them and this movie. The plot is very Lovecraftian. Let me explain: The main character is a highly intellectual recluse who spends most of his time in research. He stumbles across some natural secret that ultimately leads to his destruction.
